My clay work is inspired by hand builders before me. I work in traditional hand-building techniques of coiling, pinching and some slab rolling with a rolling pin- simple tools.
My work is a “tribute” to the natural world- incorporating the textures and colors of the plants, animals and habitat of places I have lived…the Midwest and the Sonoran Desert.
